What is different about pools in Cape Coral

Four hundred miles of canals, a huge amount of new construction, and a lot of pools that went through Ian. Here is what we look for on the first visit.

Saltwater vs. freshwater canals

South of Cape Coral Parkway and along the river the canals are saltwater; much of the north Cape is on freshwater canals. Saltwater lots need corrosion-resistant heaters, sealed pump motors, and coated cage hardware. We check which system you are on before we spec equipment.

Surge-damaged pools in the south Cape

Ian pushed saltwater into pools across the southwest and southeast Cape. Etched plaster, ruined motors, and heaters that were flooded and 'still run' are common. We tell you honestly what needs replacing and give an itemized written estimate you can use with your carrier.

Irrigation wells and pool fill

Most Cape Coral homes have an irrigation well. If it has ever been used to top off the pool, expect iron staining on the plaster. We test fill water and recommend a finish and a sequestrant plan that hold up.

City of Cape Coral permits

All pool work in the Cape permits through the City of Cape Coral. The city is strict on setbacks, barrier compliance, and seawall proximity for new builds. We handle the drawings, permit, and inspections.

Questions Cape Coral homeowners ask us

How much does pool resurfacing cost in Cape Coral?

Most residential resurfacing here runs from the mid four figures for standard plaster on a small pool up to the low teens for a pebble finish on a large pool with new tile and coping. Size, finish, and prep drive the number. You get a written price on the first visit.

My heater was flooded but still turns on. Is it fine?

Usually not. Saltwater in a heater corrodes the exchanger and controls from the inside, and failures tend to show up months later. We can inspect it and tell you whether to keep it or replace it.

Do you build pools on new-construction lots?

Yes. We work with homeowners and builders across the Cape and can design to the city's setback and seawall rules.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Florida Certified Pool Contractor license CPC1456897, fully insured, veteran-owned. Verify it any time on the Florida DBPR website.
