Port Charlotte was platted in the 1950s and a lot of its pools are original. Here is what we look for on the first visit.
Homes on the canals off Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River get salt air and occasional brackish flooding at the equipment pad. Heaters, pump motors, and cage fasteners go faster here. We spec corrosion-resistant equipment and raise pads where we can.
Ian in 2022 pushed debris, tannin-stained water, and sometimes storm surge into thousands of Port Charlotte pools. Years later we still see stained plaster, scored surfaces from debris, and equipment that was repaired instead of replaced. If your pool has not been right since the storm, we can tell you what it actually needs.
Many Port Charlotte homes east of US-41 fill from a well. Iron and minerals stain white plaster. We test fill water before quoting and recommend a finish that will hold up.
Port Charlotte is unincorporated, so all pool work permits through Charlotte County Community Development. We pull the permit, schedule inspections, and close it out. Deed-restricted communities like Deep Creek and Heritage Oak Park also need architectural review, which we handle.
No surprises. Here is what happens after you call.
