Punta Gorda is mostly waterfront, mostly retirees, and mostly pools that were built in the 1970s through the 2000s. Here is what we look for on the first visit.
Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles pools sit a few feet from brackish canals. Salt shortens heater and pump life and corrodes cage hardware. We use titanium heat exchangers, sealed motors, and coated fasteners, and we set pads above the flood line where the lot allows.
Ian and earlier storms pushed harbor water into a lot of PGI pools. Brackish water stains plaster and wrecks equipment fast. If your surface has looked off since a storm, it is usually the plaster, not the chemistry.
Many Punta Gorda pools sit unattended for months. Before you leave, we can check equipment, set the timer, and make sure the pool will not turn green while you are north. Our sister company Pool HQ handles weekly service.
Inside city limits, including PGI and the historic district, permits run through the City of Punta Gorda. Burnt Store Marina and areas south of the city go through Charlotte or Lee County. We pull the right permit and handle HOA review.
No surprises. Here is what happens after you call.
A licensed contractor, not a salesperson, comes to your Punta Gorda home, looks at the pool, and tests the water.

Most residential resurfacing here runs from the mid four figures for standard plaster on a small pool up to the low teens for a pebble finish on a large pool with new tile and coping. Size, finish, and prep drive the number. You get a written price on the first visit.
Yes. We handle permits, send photo updates, and do the final walkthrough by video or when you return. Many of our Punta Gorda customers schedule resurfacing for the summer while they are away.
Pebble or quartz. Both resist salt and brackish staining far better than white plaster and usually last 15 to 20 years or more.
