Sarasota pools range from 1950s Gulf Gate and South Gate originals to brand-new builds in Palmer Ranch. Here is what we look for on the first visit.
On Siesta Key, Lido Key, Longboat Key, and Casey Key, salt spray shortens the life of heaters, pump motors, and screen enclosures. We recommend titanium heat exchangers, sealed motors, and stainless or coated hardware, and we set equipment pads so they drain.
Gulf Gate, South Gate, Sarasota Springs, and Kensington Park have thousands of 1950s to 1970s pools. The shells are usually solid concrete, but original copper or galvanized plumbing, worn skimmers, and lifted coping are common. A remodel is often the right call rather than a rebuild.
Inside the City of Sarasota the permit runs through the city's building department; Palmer Ranch, Osprey, Fruitville, and most of the county go through Sarasota County. Barrier island work may also involve the Coastal Construction Control Line. We handle all of it.
Palmer Ranch neighborhoods, The Meadows, Lakewood Ranch, and most gated communities require architectural approval for decks, enclosures, and equipment changes. We prepare the drawings and submissions.
No surprises. Here is what happens after you call.

Most residential resurfacing in Sarasota runs from the mid four figures for standard plaster on a small pool up to the low teens for a pebble finish on a large pool with new tile and coping. Size, finish, and prep drive the number. You get a written price on the first visit.
White plaster usually lasts 7 to 12 years in our climate. Quartz and pebble finishes commonly last 15 to 20 or more. Rough patches, staining that will not brush off, and exposed aggregate are the signs it is time.
